Tengrinews.kz - Kazakh government has extended the exemption on entry restrictions for Kyrgyz citizens for another year. This is indicated in the decree published on the portal of legal acts.

The document amends the rules for the entry, stay, and exit of immigrants in Kazakhstan, as previously established by a government decree.

"The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan decrees: to suspend from September 2, 2024, to September 1, 2025, the effect of paragraph 16 of point 6 of the rules for the entry and stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their exit from the Republic of Kazakhstan, for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic," the decree states.

The decree will come into force 10 calendar days after the date of its first official publication.

According to the rules, all citizens of Eurasian Economic Union member countries can stay in Kazakhstan for 90 days in a six-month period. However, Kyrgyz citizens who exceed this limit will still be allowed to enter Kazakhstan.

This exemption was first implemented in October last year.
