Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan plans to amend the rules for holding lotteries and tighten the responsibility of bloggers at the legislative level.

Deputy Chairman of the Financial Monitoring Agency (AFM) Zhenis Yelemesov announced this during a briefing in the Senate.

“We are currently collecting proposals from other government agencies on this issue. After that, we will submit them to the government for consideration, and then to the Mazhilis,” said Yelemesov.

According to him, the initiative includes introducing criminal liability, similar to the measures previously applied for advertising financial pyramids.

“As you know, criminal responsibility has already been established for promoting financial pyramids. In the same way, we are now considering introducing similar criminal liability in this case,” — noted the AFM deputy chairman.
