Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan has overtaken Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus in a ranking of retirement living comfort, according to KTK.
The list was compiled by American analysts. They compared key indicators to determine where in the world it is most comfortable to grow old. It turned out that Kazakhstan ranks better than Iran, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, but worse than Ghana.
The analysts surveyed 17,000 people aged 40 to 50. Their opinions formed the basis of the ranking.
According to the survey, retirees live best in Switzerland — a country with a high standard of living, advanced healthcare, and a stable economy. It is followed by New Zealand and Portugal.
Kazakhstan is closer to the bottom of the list. This means that in terms of cost of living, taxes, and quality of healthcare, the country still lags behind most of the ranking’s participants. Russia and Belarus are at the very bottom, with Iran closing the list.
