Tengrinews.kz - Turkish citizens will now be able to stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 90 days. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has introduced relevant amendments to a government decree.
The changes were made to the rules governing the entry, stay, and exit of immigrants in and from Kazakhstan.
The key change is the addition of Turkey to the list of countries whose citizens may enter and leave Kazakhstan without a visa, provided their individual stay does not exceed 30 calendar days per visit, and the total duration does not exceed 90 calendar days within any 180-day period. Until now, Turkish citizens were allowed visa-free stays of up to 30 days.
“The purpose of this amendment is to strengthen cooperation with the Republic of Turkey, create a favorable investment and tourism climate in Kazakhstan, and boost economic diplomacy,” the document states.
Previously, it was reported that Uzbekistan was considering a proposal to allow Kazakh citizens to enter the country using only their national ID cards.
