Tengrinews.kz – The President of Kazakhstan and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi took part in the Kazakhstan–UAE Business Forum, according to Akorda.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the closing ceremony of the Kazakhstan–UAE Business Forum.
Commercial agreements worth around $5 billion were signed, covering key sectors of the economy.
The UAE has already invested over $4.3 billion in Kazakhstan and is one of the country's leading trade and investment partners in the Gulf region.
“We see significant potential to expand cooperation across various economic sectors, including energy, logistics, finance, smart technologies, agriculture, and more. The dynamism of our partnership is reflected in several major projects with companies such as Masdar, Presight, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Terminal Holdings, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. These and other joint initiatives reflect the depth, effectiveness, and steady progress of our bilateral relations,” noted Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The forum included thematic sessions on digital technology development, modern trends in finance, urbanism, and the green economy.
Parallel to this, B2B meetings were held between business representatives from both countries.

The UAE delegation included the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, UAE chambers of commerce and industry, and major companies such as Masdar, AMEA Power, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and others.
The following commercial agreements were signed during the forum:
- Investment agreement for the construction of a sugar factory in Kazakhstan between the Ministry of Agriculture and LLP QazaqArab Sugar.
- Memorandum on building a data center between the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Astana, and Presight.
- Memorandum on cooperation between Astana's Department of Education and Emirates Kazakhstan Education Investment Group.
- Memorandum on data protection between the Astana International Financial Centre and Abu Dhabi Global Market.
- Strategic cooperation agreement between KMG Engineering and AIQ for AI solutions development and knowledge exchange.
- Memorandum between the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan (Atameken NCE) and Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi.
- Agreement on construction and development of the Kuryk multipurpose terminal between LLP Semurg Invest and Abu Dhabi Ports Group.
- Memorandum between SEZ "Aktau Sea Port" JSC and Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi.
- Memorandum on trade promotion and agri-food procurement between Alel Agro JSC and LULU Group.
The Kazakhstan–UAE forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations, discussing promising projects and signing agreements in investment, logistics, technology, energy, and education. It brings together government officials, business leaders, and financial institutions.
