Kasteev Museum in Almaty to close until December

Tengrinews.kz – The Abylkhan Kasteev State Museum of Arts of Kazakhstan will be closed until December due to renovation works, the museum’s press service reported.

The announcement stated that these are ongoing renovation works.

“These measures are aimed at improving service quality and creating more comfortable conditions for our visitors. We thank you for your understanding and continued support! We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” the museum’s statement said.

It should be recalled that earlier this year, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev granted national status to two museums – the “State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Abylkhan Kasteev” and the “Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

After the renovation, the Abylkhan Kasteev House-Museum will also resume its work. The Abylkhan Kasteev Memorial Complex was opened in Almaty in 2014 in the house where the artist lived and worked from 1958.
