Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan has reclaimed more than 2 million hectares of land for state ownership since the beginning of the year.
According to the Committee of Land Administration under the Ministry of Agriculture, more than 1,748 unscheduled inspections were conducted, covering an area of 2.8 million hectares.
"A total of 1,342 orders were issued to address violations of land legislation across 2.2 million hectares. Based on previously issued orders, 311,300 hectares of agricultural land have been put back into use. Legal proceedings are underway to reclaim 200,400 hectares of unused land," the committee stated.
