Tengrinews.kz - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Bakayev revealed the number of Kazakhstanis still residing in Syria.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Bakayev addressed this during a briefing at the Senate.

"More than 30 Kazakhstanis. If I'm not mistaken, it's 33 people—no more. We are in constant contact with these citizens," Bakayev assured.

The deputy minister also provided updates on Kazakhstanis evacuated from the Middle East.

"We brought back 129 people from the Gaza Strip and 69 people during the evacuation from Lebanon," he noted.
