Heavy rains and dust storms to hit Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet meteorologists have released a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for May 3, 4, and 5.

Unstable weather to cover most of Kazakhstan

At the beginning of May, due to the rapid change in barometric systems, unstable weather is expected across most of Kazakhstan. The forecast includes rain and thunderstorms, strong winds, and rain mixed with snow at night in the north, east, and mountainous regions of the southeast.

“Heavy rainfall is expected in the southeast of the country, with rain and snow in the mountainous areas. Only in the southern regions of Kazakhstan is dry weather expected. In the northwest, north, central, and southeastern parts of Kazakhstan, hail is forecast during the day. Dust storms are expected in the west and south. Fog is forecast across the country during the night and early morning hours,” the statement said.

Temperature outlook

Meteorologists added that no sharp temperature changes are expected.

Kazakhstan weather in May

Earlier, Kazhydromet reported on the overall weather outlook for May in Kazakhstan. According to forecasts, average air temperatures during the final month of spring will be 1°C above normal across most of the country.
