Heat, winds, and fire risk – storm warnings issued for June 23

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet has issued storm warnings for several regions of Kazakhstan on Monday, June 23.

In the west, north, and south of Akmola Region, heavy rain, hail, and squalls are expected. Thunderstorms. Southwest wind shifting to northwest in the west, north, and south of the region with gusts of 15–20 m/s, sometimes reaching 25 m/s during the day. A high fire hazard will persist in the northwest of the region.

In Astana, heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are expected in the morning and afternoon. Southwest wind shifting to northwest with gusts of 15–20 m/s.

In Kokshetau, thunderstorms and hail are expected during the day. Southwest wind shifting to northwest with gusts of 15–18 m/s.

In the west of North Kazakhstan Region, heavy rain is expected during the day. Thunderstorms expected at night and during the day in the west of the region, with hail expected in the west and north. Southwest wind: gusts of 15–20 m/s at night in the south, and during the day in the south, west, and east. A high fire hazard remains in the south.

In Petropavlovsk, thunderstorms and hail are expected during the day.

In the north, east, and south of Kostanay Region, heavy rain is expected. Thunderstorms, and during the day hail and squalls in the north, east, and south. Southwest wind shifting to northwest in the north, east, and south, gusts of 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard persists in the north and south of the region.

In Kostanay, thunderstorms are expected. Southwest wind shifting to northwest during the day, gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extreme fire hazard remains.

In the west, south, and east of Pavlodar Region, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are expected during the day. Southwest wind in the south and east, 15–20 m/s, sometimes up to 23 m/s. A high fire hazard remains in the southeast.

In Pavlodar, thunderstorms are expected during the day. Southwest wind gusts of 15–20 m/s.

In the west of Karaganda Region, heavy rain and hail are expected at night; in the north of the region during the day – heavy rain, hail, and squalls. Thunderstorms at night and during the day in the west and north. Southwest and west wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s at night in the west, and during the day, sometimes reaching 23 m/s in the north. Extreme fire hazard remains in the west, east, and south of the region.

In Karaganda, occasional thunderstorms and hail during the day. Southwest and west wind, gusts of 15–20 m/s, sometimes up to 23 m/s.

In the north of Ulytau Region, heavy rain, hail, and squalls are expected at times. Thunderstorms expected at times in the north, east, and center of the region. Southwest and west wind in the north, east, and center, gusts of 15–20 m/s, sometimes reaching 23 m/s. Extreme fire hazard persists in the west, south, and east.

In Zhezkazgan, occasional thunderstorms are expected. Southwest and west wind, gusts of 15–20 m/s at times. Extreme fire hazard remains.

During the day in the mountainous areas of Turkestan Region, thunderstorms are expected; in the north, dust storms. Southwest wind shifting to northwest in the northern and mountainous areas, 15–20 m/s. In the western desert areas, extreme heat of up to 40°C. An extreme fire hazard remains throughout the region.

In Shymkent, the extreme fire hazard continues.

In Turkestan, extreme heat of 40°C is expected during the day. The extreme fire hazard remains.

At night in the north of Kyzylorda Region, thunderstorms and squalls are expected. In the central, southern, and northern areas, dust storms. Northern and northwestern winds at 15–20 m/s at night and during the day. An extreme fire hazard persists.

In Kyzylorda, a dust storm is expected at night. Northern wind at night of 15–20 m/s. Extreme fire hazard remains.

In the south and mountainous areas of Almaty Region, thunderstorms are expected. Southeastern wind in the south and mountain areas, gusts of 15–20 m/s. Daytime heat will reach 35–37°C.

In Konaev, extreme heat of 35–37°C is expected during the day.

In the mountainous areas of Zhambyl Region, thunderstorms are expected during the day. Wind will shift from southwest to northwest; in the southwest, northeast, and mountain areas: gusts of 15–20 m/s. Daytime temperatures will reach 40°C. An extreme fire hazard remains throughout the region; high fire hazard in the south and north.

In Taraz, southwest wind shifting to northwest, gusts of 15–20 m/s expected during the day. Extreme fire hazard remains.

In the east, mountainous areas, and central areas of Zhetysu Region, thunderstorms are expected during the day. Western wind in the east with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Daytime temperatures of 35–36°C expected. Extreme fire hazard persists in the north, east, and center of the region.

In Taldykorgan, thunderstorms are expected during the day, along with strong heat of 36°C. Extreme fire hazard remains.

In the west, north, and east of West Kazakhstan Region, thunderstorms are expected. Northwest wind at night in the west, south, and east, gusts of 15–20 m/s. High fire hazard remains in the west, south, and center.

In Uralsk, thunderstorms expected at night.

In the west of Atyrau Region, thunderstorms are expected during the day. Northwest wind shifting to southwest; in the north at night, gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extreme fire hazard persists in the center, and high fire hazard in the north.

In the north and east of Aktobe Region, thunderstorms are expected. Southwest wind in the south and center during the day with gusts of 15–18 m/s. Extreme fire hazard remains in the west, south, east, and center.

In the west and south of Mangystau Region, thunderstorms are expected during the day. Fog expected at night and in the morning in the south and center. High fire hazard in the northwest, south, and east; extreme fire hazard in the northeast and center.

In the west, north, and south of East Kazakhstan Region, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are expected during the day. Eastern wind shifting to southwest, 15–20 m/s with gusts up to 23 m/s. Daytime heat will reach 36°C. High fire hazard in the north; extreme fire hazard in the southeast.

In Ust-Kamenogorsk, thunderstorms and hail are expected during the day. Eastern wind shifting to southwest, gusts of 15–20 m/s. Daytime temperature around 35°C. High fire hazard persists.

In Abay Region, thunderstorms expected in the morning and afternoon. In the west, north, and south – hail and squalls. Northwest wind shifting to southwest in the morning and afternoon with gusts of 15–20 m/s, sometimes 23–28 m/s. Daytime heat will reach 38°C. High fire hazard in the center, extreme fire hazard in the west, northwest, and south.

In Semey, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are expected during the day. Northwest wind shifting to southwest, gusts of 15–20 m/s, at times up to 25 m/s. Extreme heat of 35–37°C expected during the day.
