Tengrinews.kz - A grass fire occurred in the Atbasar district of the Akmola region, citing the regional Department of Emergency Situations.

Tengrinews.kz - A grass fire occurred in the Atbasar district of the Akmola region, citing the regional Department of Emergency Situations.

According to the agency, the fire has been fully extinguished.

"A grass fire broke out on the outskirts of Telman village in the Atbasar district, covering an area of 0.08 hectares. There is no threat to nearby settlements. The fire was promptly extinguished," the statement read.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Yerlan Nyssanbayev, called on citizens to stay alert as the country enters a high-risk wildfire season.
