Frosts ease as Kazakhstan warms up to +28°C

Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet meteorologists have issued a weather forecast for April 18, 19, and 20.

Frosts are easing

Meteorologists note that a spur of the Scandinavian anticyclone will keep moderately frosty and dry weather in the north, east, and center of Kazakhstan, but with a shift in air masses, a gradual rise in temperature is expected.

“Unsettled weather is forecast in the west and south of the country, with rain and thunderstorms, while in the mountainous areas of the southern regions precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected, along with stronger winds. Fog is expected across the republic during the night and morning hours,” the statement says.

What to expect from temperatures

During the day, temperatures in the west, north, and center of Kazakhstan will rise to +15 to +23°C, in the east to +10 to +18°C, and in the south and southeast to +17 to +28°C.

Meteorologists have also issued a consultative weather forecast for May 2026 in Kazakhstan. According to specialists, the country as a whole is expected to see warmer-than-usual weather with uneven precipitation distribution.
