Tengrinews.kz – The Freedom SuperApp in Kazakhstan experienced a technical failure. Timur Turlov, the owner of the bank and CEO of Freedom Holding Corp., recorded a video message promising compensation.

According to Timur Turlov, a glitch occurred during the app update, causing a test notification to loop.

As a result, the bank's clients received numerous text push notifications containing technical information.

"We will do everything possible to ensure this situation does not happen again. We apologize and will credit each person who received this notification with 4 units of Freedom currency, which is now worth almost five tenge, for each notification we mistakenly sent you. Count the push notifications and await your compensation!" Turlov stated.

Earlier, during a briefing at the Central Communications Service, Ruslan Abdikalikov, the Chairman of the Information Security Committee at the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, was asked whether the information about hacked digital codes at Freedom Bank was true.

Abdikalikov replied that they had not received such information.
