Firefighters deployed to tackle large warehouse fire in Almaty

Tengrinews.kz - Firefighters in Almaty are battling a major blaze that broke out at a warehouse in the Auezov District on the morning of February 19, emergency officials reported.

According to the Department of Emergency Situations (DES) in Almaty, the fire, which started around 08:25 AM, spread to the roof of a nearby three-story administrative building.

"Fire crews arrived at the scene at 08:30 AM. A convoy of fire trucks were deployed to ensure an uninterrupted water supply. An operational headquarters was established, fire hoses were directed at the burning structures and to protect the administrative building. Water tankers were connected to fire hydrants to maintain a continuous water flow," the DES said in a statement.

Previously, a stadium caught fire in Petropavlovsk.
