Fire danger persists in 17 regions of the country

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet has issued warnings about extreme heat and high fire danger for residents of 17 regions of Kazakhstan, as well as the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent.

Astana – Thunderstorms expected during the day.

Almaty – From July 16 to 18, extreme heat of 35–38°C is expected during the day. The state of extreme fire hazard remains in effect.

Shymkent – Extreme fire hazard remains.

Ulytau Region – Thunderstorms expected in the north during the day. Northwest to north wind in the west and center with gusts of 15–18 m/s. High fire danger persists across the region; extreme fire hazard remains in the center and south. High fire danger in Zhezkazgan.

Karaganda Region – Thunderstorms expected in the west and north during the day. High fire danger remains in the north and east; extreme fire hazard in the west and south. High fire danger in Karaganda.

Kyzylorda Region – Northeastern wind shifting to southwest in the north with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extreme fire hazard remains, including in Kyzylorda.

Atyrau Region – Thunderstorms expected at night and during the day in the north, west, and south. Northwest to southwest wind in the north and west with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extreme heat of 35–38°C expected during the day. High fire danger in the north and east, extreme in the south. Thunderstorms and heat of 35–37°C expected in Atyrau.

Abai Region – Extreme heat of 35°C expected in the south. High fire danger remains in the northwest, west, and center; extreme in the south.

East Kazakhstan Region – Thunderstorms at night in the east and south. Northwest wind in the east and south 15–20 m/s. High fire danger remains in the southeast.

Aktobe Region – Northwest wind in the south with gusts of 15–18 m/s. Heat of 35°C expected in the south. Extreme fire hazard remains in the center and south; high fire danger in the north, west, and east. High fire danger remains in Aktobe.

Akmola Region – Thunderstorms and hail expected in the north, east, and center. High fire danger in the west and south. Thunderstorm expected in Kokshetau.

West Kazakhstan Region – Thunderstorms, hail, and squalls expected in the west, north, and south. Southeast to southwest wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extreme heat of 35–38°C. High fire danger remains. In Uralsk: thunderstorm, hail, squall, and wind gusts up to 18 m/s.

Pavlodar Region – Thunderstorms and hail expected in the west, north, and east. Northwest wind in the north and east with gusts of 15–20 m/s. High fire danger in the south. Thunderstorm expected in Pavlodar in the morning and during the day.

Mangystau Region – Extreme heat of 38–42°C during the day. Extreme fire hazard remains. Same in Aktau.

North Kazakhstan Region – Thunderstorms expected at night in the north and east, and during the day in the west, north, and east. Fog at night and in the morning in the west and south. Northwest to west wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Thunderstorm and hail in Petropavlovsk with same wind conditions.

Kostanay Region – Thunderstorms and hail expected in the west, north, and east in the morning and afternoon. Fog at night and in the morning in the west. West to southwest wind in the east with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extreme fire hazard in the southwest, high in the southeast. Thunderstorm expected in Kostanay.

Zhetysu Region – Northeast wind in the Alakol lakes area with gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Taldykorgan, extreme heat of 35–39°C expected from July 15 to 18.

Zhambyl Region – Thunderstorms in mountainous areas. Northeast to northwest wind in the northeast and mountains with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Heat of 38°C expected. Extreme fire hazard in the west, south, and east. Extreme fire hazard in Taraz.

Almaty Region – Occasional thunderstorms in the south and mountain areas. Southeast wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Konaev, extreme heat of 35–39°C during the day. Extreme fire hazard remains.

Turkestan Region – Northwest wind on mountain passes with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extreme fire hazard remains across the region, including in Turkistan.
