Tengrinews.kz – A fire at the former Cinema City building in Astana is being extinguished under an elevated response level.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), firefighters are currently extinguishing a blaze in a separate one-story pavilion located in the Baikonur district on Amangeldy Imanov Street. Details of the incident are being clarified.
“No reports of casualties have been received via 112. Rescue crews are working at the site under an elevated response level,” the statement said.
At 09:16 AM, the MES reported that the fire had been localized. This means the spread of the fire has been stopped, but it has not yet been fully extinguished.

Judging by the situation, the strong fire we reported earlier has been extinguished, but rescuers continue working until the danger is fully eliminated.
Fresh snowfall in the capital is helping them in this effort.
Update: At 09:43 AM, the MES reported that the fire had been completely extinguished. According to clarified information, a café attached to the inactive three-story building and the exterior cladding of the structure caught fire. A nearby truck was damaged by the flames. No reports of casualties were received via 112.
