Tengrinews.kz – Residents of Astana spotted several fighter jets soaring over the city, with eyewitnesses capturing the spectacle on video.
The jets were seen flying across the entire city, making appearances on both the right and left banks of the capital. Footage shows the aircraft leaving long, smoky trails in their wake.
The Ministry of Defense had earlier announced that planned fighter jet flyovers would take place in Astana on November 23-24. These operations are part of routine training flights by the Air Defense Forces to demonstrate the use of special smoke trails.
According to the Ministry, the jets will fly at a safe altitude and will not disrupt the city’s usual pace of life.
