According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a seismic network of the "National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research" LLP registered the earthquake on November 5 at 10:01 a.m. Astana time in the Almaty region and Almaty city.

The epicenter was located in Kazakhstan, 33 kilometers east of Almaty.

The estimated intensity of the tremor in various locations was as follows:

  • Almaty - 3 points
  • Talgar - 4 points
  • Esik - 4 points
  • Turgen - 3 points
  • Otegen Batyr - 3 points
  • Boralday - 2 points
  • Malovodnoe - 2 points
  • Zh. Kaipova (village) - 2 points
  • Alatau (Zhetigen) - 2 points
  • Karasay (Kaskelen) - 2 points

The Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a reminder on how to respond during earthquakes.
