According to operational data from the Kazakhstan Data Center of the IGR NNC RK, on December 23 at 09:32 AM (Astana time) an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred in the Caspian Sea.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the epicenter of the magnitude 5.1 earthquake was located 158 kilometers northeast of Baku.
Judging by the map, the epicenter was 335 kilometers north of Aktau.
Recall that on the night of December 22, an earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred in China. Tremors of 2 points were felt in Almaty.
