Tengrinews.kz - Drones have been deployed to detect traffic violations in the Mangystau region, citing the regional police department's press service.

The police announced the start of drone use to monitor traffic conditions on national highways and regional roads.

"Unmanned aerial vehicles will record traffic violations such as speeding, driving into oncoming traffic, overtaking violations, and other dangerous maneuvers. This will enhance road safety, ensure a prompt response to violations, and help prevent accidents," the police stated.

Authorities reminded all road users of the importance of strictly adhering to traffic regulations.

Earlier, the Astana akimat announced that a large-scale project on public and road safety based on artificial intelligence (AI) is being implemented in the capital.
