Tengrinews.kz - An offsite meeting of the Ministry of Defense board was held in Karaganda, where the results of the 2024-2025 winter training period were reviewed and key focus areas for the summer training period were identified, citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the statement, Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov emphasized changes in the geopolitical landscape and, “based on an analysis of foreign experience in modern warfare,” outlined the main priorities for the training of the Kazakh military.
The press service noted that “specific issues regarding the improvement of troop training levels, personnel development, and logistical and technical support were discussed.”
Summarizing the session, the defense minister set several key tasks for the command staff.
“Among them are the training of UAV operators with a focus on tactical reconnaissance tasks, organization of practical combat and special training exercises, preparation of engineering and sapper units, strengthening safety measures, compliance with weapons handling protocols, and more,” the ministry said.
