Tengrinews.kz – The dollar exchange rate has sharply fallen in Kazakhstan’s exchange offices.
Dollar to tenge rate on December 4
As of 12:00 PM, exchange offices in Astana are selling the dollar for 505–506 tenge and buying it for 498–499 tenge. In Almaty, the selling rate is 502–503 tenge, while the average buying rate is 499.99 tenge.
Notably, on December 3, based on daytime trading on KASE, the weighted average dollar exchange rate was 503.89 tenge, dropping by 4.07 tenge. Thus, the rate has approached the “psychological threshold” of 500 tenge per dollar, considered an important threshold for the market.
On that day, exchange offices in Astana were selling the dollar for an average of 509.52 tenge and buying it for 502.52 tenge. In Almaty, the average selling rate was 507.03 tenge and the buying rate was 504.71 tenge.
