Debris of missing military helicopter found in Sorbulak Lake: Photo released

Tengrinews.kz - A photo has emerged showing the wreckage of the H145 military helicopter (formerly Eurocopter EC145) that went missing on July 25 in the Almaty region.

Search efforts for the missing crew members have entered their fifth day in Kazakhstan.

Commander of the Air Force Askar Izbassov briefed the Minister of Defense on the operation underway at Lake Sorbulak. He noted that the area's natural and man-made conditions require advanced technical capabilities and precise coordination among all involved in the mission.

According to official reports, more than 400 personnel have been deployed in the search, along with K-9 units, over 70 vehicles, 21 boats, 10 drones, echo sounders, and underwater scanning equipment.

The H145 helicopter disappeared from radar on July 25. Its wreckage was discovered the following day in the waters of Lake Sorbulak. The search and rescue operation involves hundreds of specialists, drones, aircraft, and specialized underwater equipment.

Relatives of the missing crew members have released a video appeal, urging the public and authorities to pay attention to the ongoing tragedy.
