Crane damages power lines, causing traffic jam in Almaty

Tengrinews.kz - A crane truck driver damaged the electrical wires of a trolleybus depot in Almaty, as a result of which ten vehicles were damaged. Due to the incident, a large traffic jam formed in the Bostandyk district along Rozybakiev Street.

Tengrinews.kz - A crane truck driver damaged the electrical wires of a trolleybus depot in Almaty, as a result of which ten vehicles were damaged. Due to the incident, a large traffic jam formed in the Bostandyk district along Rozybakiev Street.

According to the Almaty Police Department, the driver of a MAN crane truck, moving along Levitan Street in a westerly direction, allowed the trolley to break.

"Then, continuing to move along Rozybakiev Street to the north, he allowed a similar situation. As a result, ten vehicles received mechanical damage and a traffic jam formed," the police reported.

Currently, traffic has resumed as usual, the department noted.

"Employees of the Bostandyk District Police Department have joined the investigation of the accident," the city police department concluded.
