Cooler weather coming to Kazakhstan - forecasters warn of heavy rains

Cyclone to bring rain and thunderstorms to Kazakhstan

According to the forecast, the passage of an active cyclone and atmospheric fronts will lead to unstable weather conditions across most of Kazakhstan in the coming days. Rain and thunderstorms are expected, with potential hail and squall-force winds, while heavy rainfall is projected throughout the republic.

Where temperatures will drop

In the west and northwest of the country, daytime temperatures will decrease to between +18 and +28 degrees Celsius.

Northern Kazakhstan is expected to see temperatures ranging from +22 to +30 degrees.

In the south, the heat will ease slightly, but temperatures will remain high, ranging from +23 to +35 degrees.

Regions where intense heat will persist

Eastern, northeastern, and southeastern Kazakhstan will remain in the grip of hot weather. Forecasters predict intense heat in these regions, with temperatures reaching +30 to +38 degrees.
