Tengrinews.kz - A story shared by a Chinese tourist about her experience in Kazakhstan has gone viral on social media.
The woman posted a video on TikTok, recounting how she ran out of fuel while traveling through Kazakhstan and had to look for help.
“I had to walk until I found a police officer. I explained the situation, and he called someone over the radio. Soon, a man arrived with a fuel canister. I was so relieved and couldn’t stop thanking them,” she said in the video.
After refueling, she continued her journey, but was later stopped by police. At first, she feared she had broken a rule.
“But it turned out I had left my bag with important documents at the gas station while grabbing a quick meal,” she explained.
About 20 minutes later, the same officer she had met earlier arrived and handed her the bag.
“He was holding my bag. I was so overwhelmed I couldn’t say a word. In a foreign country, thanks to complete strangers, I felt such warmth,” she said.
In her video, she thanked the police officers for their kindness and assistance.
“This trip turned out completely different from what I expected. I thought I’d be amazed by the mountains and rivers, but instead I was moved by something far greater - the beauty of human hearts, more stunning than any landscape,” she said.
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the incident took place in the Moiynkum district of Zhambyl region. According to the ministry, the tourist had left her documents behind during a meal stop.

“Patrol officers on duty in the area discovered the lost items and quickly located the owner. They returned the documents in person, refueled her car, and wished her a safe journey,” the ministry’s press service said.
The ministry added that the tourist expressed her gratitude for the officers’ help and care.
