Tengrinews.kz – A bus carrying workers fell into a ditch in Astana. Fourteen people were injured in the accident.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus “flew into the ditch” on the road from the airport. Two ambulance crews were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Police told Tengrinews.kz that the incident occurred on Kabanbay Batyr Avenue when the driver lost control.
“The driver of a Mercedes company bus lost control while making a U-turn, causing the vehicle to go off the road into a ditch. The passengers on board were taken to a medical facility. There were no fatalities in the accident. An investigation is underway,” the Astana Police Department reported.
The city’s Health Department stated that 14 people were injured in the crash. They were taken to multidisciplinary city hospitals as well as to the National Emergency Medicine Coordination Center.
“At the emergency department, all of them were examined by specialists. Some of the injured were discharged for outpatient treatment, while others are still undergoing examination. Most passengers suffered only minor bruises,” the department said.
