Tengrinews.kz - In the Zhetysu region, eyewitnesses captured a burning object in the sky, flying at an impressive speed. Astrophysicists commented on the video.

The video captured by eyewitnesses shows an object similar to a meteorite flying across the night sky, burning up in the Earth's atmosphere.

Head of the Department of Observational Astrophysics of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute, Alexander Serebryanskiy, commented on the video.

"The video was most likely filmed either on the evening of November 3 or on November 2. On these days, some Starlink satellites and remnants of the WISE mission (a telescope for infrared sky surveys launched in 2009) were re-entering the atmosphere. During this period, spent CZ-3B rocket stages (a Chinese launch from 2019) were also entering the atmosphere," the expert reported.

Earlier, mysterious objects in the sky surprised Kazakhstan's residents. Many suggested that this could be related to the satellites of Elon Musk's company.
