Tengrinews.kz – Meteorologists at Kazhydromet have issued a weather forecast for November 4–6, warning of snowstorms and strong winds across much of Kazakhstan.
According to the national weather service, an Atlantic cyclone will dominate the country’s weather in the coming days, bringing precipitation — mainly snow — along with gusty winds. Fog, icy roads, and ground blizzards are expected, particularly in northern regions.
“Only the western part of the country will remain dry. In southern regions, as atmospheric fronts move through, heavy precipitation is expected, with rain turning to snow. In the northern half of Kazakhstan, heavy snowfall is likely in some areas,” the report said.
Temperature outlook
A sharp drop in daytime temperatures is forecast:
- In northern and central Kazakhstan: −2 to −10°C
- In southern and southeastern regions: +2 to +7°C
Earlier, Kazhydromet published a long-term outlook for November, predicting unstable weather at the start of the month due to the influence of northern cyclones. Rain turning to snow is expected across much of the country, while northern, central, and eastern regions will see predominantly snowy and blizzard conditions.
