Tengrinews.kz - Austria has appointed a new ambassador to Kazakhstan, according to an official announcement on the embassy’s website.

"The Embassy of Austria is happy to introduce Austria's Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Her Excellency Andrea Bacher, who will soon present her credentials," the statement reads.

According to open sources, Andrea Bacher previously served as an advisor on foreign policy and security to the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs (BMEIA).

Earlier, President Tokayev appointed new ambassadors to Egypt, Palestine, and Portugal.
