Tengrinews.kz – Kazakh emergency rescuers have evacuated a Chinese tourist who was injured while hiking near Big Almaty Lake, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) reports.
The 22-year-old woman had fallen and sustained a shoulder injury. She was found during a patrol by the Republican Rescue Operations Unit.
“Despite the challenging terrain and limited visibility in the mountainous area, rescuers provided first aid on-site, applying a splint to immobilize the injured shoulder. The tourist was then safely evacuated and handed over to an ambulance crew,” the ministry said.
This is the second such incident in recent days. Earlier, rescuers assisted a tourist from Singapore with multiple bruises in the Ile-Alatau National Park. She also received first aid and was transferred to medical personnel.
