According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), an earthquake was recorded in Kazakhstan.

“Information is being verified. The Network of Seismic Stations of the LLP ‘NNCSS and I’ of the MES RK has registered an earthquake. According to preliminary data, the seismic event was recorded in Almaty. Details on the tremor’s intensity are being clarified,” the ministry said in a statement.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake occurred at 12:20 p.m. Astana time in Kyrgyzstan, with a magnitude of 3.4.
