Tengrinews.kz - The black box of the Embraer 190 passenger plane that crashed near Aktau on December 25 has been recovered.

During a briefing in Aktau, Chief Transport Prosecutor Timur Suleimenov announced that the black box of the Embraer 190 passenger plane had been recovered. The briefing also included Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev.

It was also officially confirmed that all Kazakhstani citizens aboard the Embraer 190 died in the crash.

The Azerbaijan Airlines flight, en route from Baku (Azerbaijan) to Grozny (Russia), crashed three kilometers from Aktau at 11:30 A.M. local time on December 25. The passenger plane was unable to land in Grozny due to heavy fog and was first diverted to Makhachkala before being redirected to Aktau.

Earlier, a video from the cabin of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane shortly before the crash in Aktau appeared online.
