Tengrinews.kz - A fire broke out in the building of the Abai district akimat (local administration) in Shymkent, citing the city’s Emergency Situations Department (DES) press service.
According to officials, on August 14 at 03:19 a.m., the 112 emergency service received a report about a fire in an administrative building located at 3 Tauke Khan Avenue.
“The total area of the fire was 1,200 square meters. The blaze was localized at 04:58 a.m. and completely extinguished at 05:27 a.m. There were no casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire is being determined,” the statement said.
In extinguishing the fire, 21 units of equipment and 88 DES personnel from Shymkent were involved.
Previously, a forest fire broke out in Kazakhstan’s Abai region.
