Tengrinews.kz - Air Astana has announced changes to its flight schedule to and from India, the airline reported on Thursday, May 8.

The airline will continue operating flights KC 291/292 on the Almaty – Mumbai – Almaty route three times a week: on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. These flights will be carried out via an extended alternative route using Airbus A320 and Airbus A321LR aircraft.

“Regular flights KC 907/908 and KC 963/964 on the Almaty – Delhi – Almaty route will be suspended from 9 to 18 May. Passengers affected by the cancelled flights will be offered a full refund or complimentary rebooking to alternative travel dates,” the company said.

Air Astana also announced plans to operate three repatriation flights on the Almaty – Delhi – Almaty route to bring home citizens of Kazakhstan and other Air Astana passengers.

“Air Astana continues to closely monitor the situation and will promptly update passengers of any further developments, as the safety and security of our passengers and crew remain the airline’s highest priority,” the airline emphasized.

Earlier, Air Astana reported that it canceled its Almaty–Delhi–Almaty flights scheduled for May 8 due to the closure of airspace between India and Pakistan.
