Tengrinews.kz - Tasks for the Unified National Test (UNT) are planned to be developed using artificial intelligence (AI) in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the director of the department of digitalization and public services of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Nursultan Makhatov.
According to him, artificial intelligence will make the examination process more transparent and convenient. The project will be implemented in 2025.
"As for projects in the field of artificial intelligence, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, together with the Ministry of Digitalization, plans to develop five projects on the national AI platform. Among them is the AI Talapker chatbot, which will provide consultations on the regulatory rules for conducting the UNT in 2025, statistical information, and applying for grants. As well as the use of AI to improve academic integrity when passing the UNT. In addition, the introduction of AI to develop UNT test tasks," Makhatov said during a briefing by the Central Communications Service.
The Unified National Test (UNT) is a system used in Kazakhstan to assess the knowledge of graduating students. The exam is conducted in Russian, Kazakh, and English. UNT was first introduced in 2004.
Previously, the Vice President of the National Academy of Education announced that Kazakh schoolchildren will be taught to use AI as part of a new educational standard.
