Tengrinews.kz - A snow leopard was caught on camera in the Turkestan region.
The footage was shared on the official Instagram account of the Committee for Forestry and Wildlife.
"Camera traps in the Sairam-Ugam National Park have recorded a snow leopard. These rare images confirm the presence of this endangered species in the park," the committee stated.

Officials also emphasized that the presence of a snow leopard in the national park indicates favorable conditions for the species.
"It also highlights the effectiveness of conservation efforts carried out by park staff," the statement added.
According to the park's website, Sairam-Ugam National Park is located in the Turkestan region.
Previously, camera traps in Kolsay Lakes National Park captured the behavior of a snow leopard and a Turkestan lynx in their natural habitat.
