Tengrinews.kz - The plane, flying from Almaty to Cam Ranh (Vietnam), was forced to return to the departure airport after several hours in the air.
According to aviation services, the Air Astana aircraft spent 3 hours 28 minutes in flight, after which it landed in Almaty.
The information spread online that the incident was caused by a technical malfunction. We requested a comment from the airline's press service.
"On March 28, the Air Astana aircraft, operating the night flight KC193 on the route Almaty - Nha Trang, made an emergency landing at Almaty airport due to a technical issue. While waiting for the flight in the terminal, passengers were provided with hot meals and drinks and, if desired, a transfer and accommodation at a hotel. Passengers were sent to their destination on another aircraft at 07:15 AM. We apologize to passengers for the flight delay," Air Astana responded.
Earlier, an Air Astana aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku. The unscheduled landing was due to a sudden deterioration in the health of one of the passengers on board. Upon arrival in Baku, the passenger received immediate medical attention and was transferred to an ambulance crew before being taken to a local hospital for further examination.
