Tengrinews.kz - A man wanted by law enforcement in a neighboring country was detained by police at Almaty International Airport, according to Polisia.kz.
The arrest was made at the request of the National Central Bureau of Interpol. The foreign national had been internationally wanted by Uzbekistan's law enforcement authorities for embezzlement and forgery.
"From January 2022 to April 2023, the man embezzled 162 million Uzbek soms through document forgery," the statement said.
