Tengrinews.kz -Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has released a video showing the rescue of a man in Taraz.

The footage shows firefighters and rescuers attempting to extinguish flames on a man using a blanket and improvised means. One of them is seen holding a fire extinguisher.

According to the ministry, the "112" emergency service in the Zhambyl region received a report about a man attempting suicide near a secondary school. He had poured gasoline on his clothes and threatened to set himself on fire.

MES officials stated that the man sustained minor burns and was hospitalized. The circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.

Previously, the MES discussed one of the biggest challenges for Kazakh rescuers during severe weather conditions.
