Tengrinews.kz – An earthquake occurred near Taldykorgan.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck at 3:58 PM Astana time, 20 kilometers northwest of Taldykorgan.
The National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research of Kazakhstan’s Emergency Situations Ministry reported that the epicenter was located 12 kilometers north of Taldykorgan, within Kazakhstan.
According to the center, the intensity of the tremors was as follows:
- Taldykorgan city – 4 points;
- Balpyk-Bi village – 4 points;
- Karabulak settlement – 3 points;
- Ushtobe city – 3 points;
- Tekeli city – 2 points;
- Saryozek village – 2 points.
Information on damage and casualties is being clarified.
