Tengrinews.kz – Kazakh seismologists have recorded an earthquake in the Almaty region.
This was reported on Sunday, November 23, by the data center of the Institute of Geophysical Research of the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan.
“According to the operational data of the IGR NNC data center, on November 23, 2025, at 6:12 PM Astana time (13:12 GMT), an earthquake occurred 11 kilometers southeast of the village of Zhalanash,” the statement said.
It is noted that the coordinates of the epicenter are 42.95° north latitude and 78.72° east longitude.
The earthquake’s magnitude was 3.7, with an energy class of 8.6.
