Tengrinews.kz – The well-known blogger Mellstroy — Belarusian citizen, 26-year-old Andrey Burim — has been declared internationally wanted in Kazakhstan. The Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM) has explained what he is suspected of.
According to the AFM, Burim is suspected of organizing a large-scale advertising campaign to promote the online casino Mellstroy.game, targeting, among others, users in Kazakhstan. To draw attention, the blogger launched giveaways and challenges, encouraging participants to record videos on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social networks mentioning the Mellstroy.game brand, its logos, and links to the website.
A court has placed him under pre-trial detention as a preventive measure.
The agency reminds the public that in Kazakhstan, distributing advertisements for gambling is subject not only to administrative but also criminal liability — for assisting or abetting illegal gambling activities. The AFM urges citizens not to participate in such schemes and to report suspicious offers via the Telegram bot AFM Insider. Anonymity is guaranteed.
The AFM added that Mellstroy had already been prosecuted in Russia — he was sentenced to correctional labor and fined for assault during a livestream. Furthermore, in November 2025, a Minsk court declared his channels, logos, and watermarks extremist materials.
If citizens have information about the blogger’s whereabouts, the AFM asks them to contact the Department of Economic Investigations in Astana:

Context
In Kazakhstan, Belarusian blogger Mellstroy (Andrey Burim) was declared wanted. The notice appeared on the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office — the initiative came from the Agency for Financial Monitoring. The search case was registered on November 15 in Astana.

Who is Mellstroy
Andrey Burim is one of the most controversial streamers in the Russian-speaking internet. Starting with gaming streams, he quickly switched to “trash-streams” — involving provocations, alcohol, and donation-based challenges. His audience consists mainly of young people from CIS countries.
In early November, Belarusian authorities designated Mellstroy’s channels extremist, after one of his “online challenges” triggered a wave of hooliganism and spontaneous gatherings across the country.
Scandal around Mellstroy in Kazakhstan
At the end of October, a man was arrested in Astana for 15 days after appearing in a shopping mall wearing only underwear and holding a sign, shouting the blogger’s name and asking him to gift an apartment.
After this incident, the Ministry of Internal Affairs addressed Kazakhstanis. The agency urged citizens, especially young people, not to fall for dubious internet trends, reminding that “any unlawful, provocative, or immoral actions in public places — whether for the sake of a prank, contest, giveaway, likes, or followers — are unacceptable and will result in legal consequences.”
