Tengrinews.kz – Summer is the vacation season, and many Kazakhstanis choose to travel by train. However, even with a valid ticket in hand, a trip can end earlier than planned. Here’s why you might be removed from a train.
According to the press service of “Passenger Transportation,” under the rules, there are several situations in which a person may be removed from a train en route.
For example, if a passenger refuses to present an ID or is traveling without a ticket, the conductor has the right to remove them at the nearest station.
There are also other reasons why a person may be removed from a train during a trip.
4 reasons
Severe intoxication
If a person is under the influence of alcohol or drugs and disturbs others or poses a safety threat, they can be removed.
Smoking in prohibited areas
Smoking is prohibited on trains. Violating this rule is grounds for removal.
Aggressive behavior
If a passenger behaves aggressively toward other passengers or train staff.
Dangerous luggage
If a passenger is transporting prohibited items or goods that may pose a danger to others.
What is prohibited to bring on a train:
- Explosive devices and explosives, pyrotechnics (fireworks, firecrackers, and other potentially explosive items).
- Radioactive and narcotic substances.
- Flammable liquids and substances, including gasoline, methyl ether, and methanol.
- Flammable solid substances.
- Toxic, potent, and poisonous substances in liquid or solid form.
- All types of firearms, including projectile, electric, mechanical, combined, barrel-less traumatic, gas weapons, impact-crushing weapons, sabers, broadswords, cleavers, yataghans, swords, rapiers, bayonets, daggers, dirks, stilettos, brass knuckles, and flails.
- Ammunition for firearms and gas weapons, including live rounds, flash-bang rounds, traumatic rounds, blanks, and loaded hunting cartridges.
By the way, earlier the national carrier reminded passengers about the rules for transporting children on trains. Parents are allowed to carry one child under the age of 7 (that is, until the 7th birthday) free of charge, provided the child does not occupy a separate seat. Starting from the 7th birthday, a ticket is required.
“To occupy a separate seat, a child’s ticket must be purchased. If a family travels with several children under 7, one adult can only transport one child for free; child tickets must be purchased for the others,” the company explained.
Children from 7 to 15 years old are eligible for child tickets. The cost of a child’s ticket is 50% of the adult ticket price.
