Kazakhstan Minister of Communications and Information promised to surprise Internet-users in Kazakhstan with prices drop on January 1, 2012, Tengrinews.kz reports from Digital Communication Kazakhstan 2011 conference.“January 1 we and operators are planning to surprise our clients a little,” Askar Zhumagaliyev said when talking about lowering Internet rates. According to the Minister, monthly fee for Internet use is being gradually decreased in Kazakhstan. He emphasized that the Ministry has a goal of achieving 100-percent coverage of the country’s regions with broadband Internet.Minister Zhumagaliyev said that currently the Ministry is very close to implementation of 4G project via mobile networks. Certain ranges have been allocated for this purpose. “We hope that we will see these technologies in Kazakhstan soon,” Askar Zhumagaliyev said.
