Massimov to discuss gas supplies to Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek

Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov will pay a visit to Bishkek September 16, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kyrgyzstan Government. Prime-Minister is expected to meet with his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev and the President Rosa Otunbayeva. The parties will discuss bilateral cooperation, particularly in energy and fuel. “We are planning to discuss gas supplies from Kazakhstan at more favorable prices,” first Vice-Prime-Minister Omurbek Babanov said at the meeting with residents of Zhaiylsk region of Kyrgyzstan. “Buying oil from Uzbekistan is very expensive for us. We are trying to find alternative gas supply sources,” he noted.
