IT Director of KazakhTelecom Marat Abdildabekov announced launch of VideoBridge service that will allow users to hold video-conferences on the Internet, Tengrinews.kz reports from Digital Communications Kazakhstan 2011 exhibition on September 14. According to Marat Abdildabekov, this year the new service will be available only for legal entities. Other users will be able to communicate via VideoBridge starting from 2012. “Video-conferences will be able to unite many users: 40-50 or more. The service will be affordable for population, in terms of its cost,” IT Director of KazakhTelecom said. Marat Abdildabekov also noted that Kazakhstan has excellent prospects for development of cloud technologies. “We have just approached provision of such services. We are currently working with such major companies as Microsoft, SAP and Oracle. We will be rendering services from the “cloud” in the beginning of the year and next year we will be expanding our services even further,” he said. Digital Communication Kazakhstan 2011 exhibition and conference is held in the Independence Palace in Astana on September, 14-16. Major companies specializing in cellular communications, telecommunications, Internet and social media are taking part in the exhibition.
