Kazakhstan TV-channels will be available at the territory of 110 countries, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Minister of Culture and Information Darkhan Mynbai. “Kazakhstan TV channels will be available at the territory of 110 countries and the presence of the printed media on the Internet will reach 95 percent of their total number,” Darkhan Mynbai said. According to him, technical modernization of Kazakhstan media will be ensured by means of implementation of the digital TV standard and development of the infrastructure of KazMedia Ortalygy television and radio complex. As a result of the measures, the whole population of Kazakhstan will be covered by the digital signal by 2017. The number of users of the national satellite network will reach 1 million people by 2020. “The volume of Kazakhstan-made TV content will make 60 percent of the total broadcast time by 2020. The number of Internet websites in .kz and .kaz domains will be increase by 50 percent,” Darkhan Mynbai said.
