French company to build 3 parking lots in Astana

Astana administration and VINCI Construction Grands Projets have signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in development of parking-construction sector, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports. The document was signed by deputy Akim (Mayor) of Astana Kanat Sultanbekov and Commercial Director for Central Asia Francois Chevalier, the press-service of Astana administration writes. According to the memorandum, VINCI Construction Grands Projets is planning to start construction of three parking lots in the Left Bank district of Astana this year in the framework of preparation for the EXPO-2017 exhibition. “These projects will be implemented through state-private partnership mechanisms and in 30 years these parking lots will be transferred into the municipal ownership,” the press-release states. The management of VINCI Construction Grands Projets also expressed readiness to develop complex solutions for construction and management of the project through developing new approaches to designing, construction, financing and operation of the facilities. VINCI Construction Grands Projets is part of VINCI Group that provides concession and construction services, project management and all types of works on development of civil infrastructure for transport and city facilities.
