Tengrinews.kz - The creator of the social network VKontakte and the messaging app Telegram, Pavel Durov, shared his impressions of a recent trip to Kazakhstan.
On June 28, Durov arrived in Astana, at the invitation of the Minister of Digital Development. Иusinessman shared his experiences and photos on his Telegram channel.
He noted that he recently returned from Kazakhstan, an economic powerhouse in Central Asia. During his visit, he visited majestic Astana, vibrant Almaty, picturesque Burabay, and the scenic Charyn Canyon.
"The beauty of Kazakhstan can only be rivaled by its ambitions. The country attracts international companies and tech startups with business-friendly policies and favorable taxes. It also improves its edge in education and science by supporting innovative schools and universities," he wrote.
According to Durov, 12.5 million out of 20 million Kazakhstani citizens use Telegram monthly, a 25% increase from last year.
"We are proud to serve as the main communication platform for the Kazakh people and hope to continue to be a tool that accelerates its rapid economic and digital transformation," Durov added.
